This is the ultrasound that we have been waiting for, the one that will tell us about the placenta previa or the low lying placenta. Plus, we got a couple more cute images of our little girl! Here's a nice profile of her ... And here's her squishy little face ... If you've been following along or have been reading thought my blog, at 20 weeks we found out we had complete placenta previa and choroid plexus cysts. This ultrasound showed that the choroid plexus cysts weren't visible any more. As I mentioned before, they can be normal and disappear over time. And we found out that the placenta previa resolved itself! The placenta had moved with the growth of the uterus so that it was 3.5 cm away from the cervix! That meant the past 17 weeks of researching c-sections was now shifting to researching everything about natural births!
But we got thrown a loop, my OB scheduled me for an induction at 39 weeks. I've had time to research on that now, too. I will be asking her lots of questions. And I will have many opportunities to ask questions because next week I'll be going in twice a week for non-stress tests to monitor Peanut. I believe those tests are more common later in the pregnancy, but with her being my first, it might be a little different. Here's one last photo, me at 37 weeks with Peanut ... these prego selfies can be a little challenging.
