This is our master bedroom the first morning after closing on our first house. We threw our air mattress, some sheets, a blanket, and pillows in our rig before going in to sign all the paperwork. And on the way from Portland to Salem, I was on the phone with the garbage, electricity, natural gas, and water companies to get everything switched into our names. And now, after nearly two years, we finally get to paint the room and really make it ours! There were just soooo many holes in all the walls in this poor room. One major hole needed a good sized chunk of drywall to repair it (the previous home owner punched a hole in the wall within the 1.5 weeks between the Open House and the inspection), plus the door knob broke through the two layers of drywall, but that was easily repaired with a patch kit. For painting this room, my sister-in-law came down and helped me and John get it done. For the master bedroom I chose Behr's Cotton Sheets. As you can tell, I love the lighter colors. You could kinda say that I'm inspired by the Farmhouse style. There's still more to do with the master bedroom and I'll be sharing once we've made more progress!
